The USDA recommends eating eggs within five weeks of the laying date. By law, an egg can be sold for up to 30 days after the date it was put in the carton. And farmers have up to 30 days to go from when the egg is laid to the carton. That means those supermarket eggs can be two months old by the time you buy them. That is already outside of the five-week window of nutritious eggs.
-
At 4G Farm, we grab eggs nightly, putting them in packages and delivering them within 1-3 days of collecting the eggs. That means that by the time you get it, you still have 4.5 weeks to eat them for the freshest egg! Duck eggs do last longer than chicken eggs due to their harder shell.

Ducks are proven to be healthier when able to forage for themselves and participate in normal duck activities. At 4G Farms, our ducks have full access to everything outside, clean water refills every morning, constant access to food, scraps from inside, and all the activities their hearts desire.
